What more can I say! After scrolling for braids I kept going back to Gigis page! Called ok A Thursday after 5pm for an appointment Friday morning which was granted right away! When I tell you they dont disappoint, I was very worried due to my edges and explained that upon arrival! When they finished my hair was full and beautiful and they made my day! This family is nothing but awesome! 2 sisters worked on my hair and I could be more pleased! Its like I knew them all my entire life! Im A customer forever now! Thanks again

I am delighted to post this review on Gigis Braids and Beauty! The shop is very, very nicely appointed, well lit and super clean. The stylists are ALL so pleasant, and obviously very talented. Music plays softly in the background to add to the calming atmosphere. If a braiding salon would double as a spa, this is the place! I am complimented after every single visit, and I feel so pretty when I leave this place. The vibes of the staff somehow transfer to the clients, as the customers are always so quiet and relaxed here. There is only one braiding salon for me, and its here at Gigis Braids and Beauty.

I love Gigi and the ladies that work in the salon! Its a nice, and loving atmosphere! I came in with a teaspoon of hair, and Gigi worked with me! She even washed and blow dried my hair to ensure that it was ready for the elite style she had done. Lois is also great! She is gentle and caring! Love this salon! Above and beyond talented and customer service centered is an understatement. My beautiful daughters are very picky and these talented hard working beautiful women were up for the task. Miss Gigi, the owner, was so kind and accommodating. I called early in the morning and lucked out she was able to accom. Same day appointment for hair wash & knotless box braids with peekaboo color for both my daughters. Miss Gigi's daughters did each of my daughters' hair and I seen those young women work diligently to perfection for 9 hours straight - literally i don't remember seeing them take a break! I actually asked them to and with all smiles they declined. You can tell not only are they good at what they do but they enjoy it. Their hard work resulted in clean parts, clean braids, and two very very happy young ladies. My kids have gotten consistent compliments since we left and the best part is they were so comfortable and relaxed they kept falling asleep- no pain or anything. They also provide the hair which is so nice because most beauty supply stores are not run by very nice people and it saves you an extra trip. The salon is super clean. The vibe is positive and family oriented. No inappropriate music or conversations happening which is a super big plus for me as a mom. Like attracts like so every patron who came and went was also equally as kind as the staff. Truly they are worth every single penny and every extra dollar of tip you can spare. From NY to now NJ we found our new home for hair care. Definitely will be returning here loyally and regularly.

I am new to braids, called Gigi based on her excellent Yelp reviews. I just wanted two braids. I stopped in her shop to speak with her. She was very welcoming. Ive been going for a year now. Parking is easy on the street or a small lot behind the shop. Gigi always makes sure I am satisfied. I also referred my friend/neighbor to Gigis shop for box braids and she loved them. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend Gigi and her talented daughters! They do amazing work with beautiful, neat, and long-lasting braids. Super friendly, accommodating, and family-oriented. The shop is always spotless and well-organized, reflecting their attention to detail. Gigi is also quick to respond and very accommodating to schedules, making it easy to book an appointment.

Some of the nicest and most professional people youll meet! Gigis daughter does my Knotless Braids and I pretty much stick with this style and my hair grows well with them. I cheated once when they werent available and the other salon damaged my hairline so I wont be doing that again. She is a wonderful braider and Gigi is a wonderful shop owner. Making appointments and sending deposits is easy. The shops environment isnt crazy and everyone is nice. You may be able to get a same day appointment on a weekday but Id recommend at least calling or messaging 24/48 hours in advance and going on a weekday if youre trying to get a last minute appointment for Knotless at least. Her daughters have even fed myself and multiple other clients, just out of the kindness of their heart. I get very long Knotless small braids and this is one shop that makes sure that the parts and the braids are perfect every time. When I got small Knotless braids that were under my butt it took 11 hours and honestly she wouldnt have taken a break until I told her to go eat something and that I needed one too! The hair was included for regular box braids but if you want boho you need to buy the human hair and they can send you a link to the correct hair to purchase. I tend to go longer as a said so my braids are a bit more expensive than the normal lengths.

Gigi has the most gentle hands i had an amazing experience and I'm in love with my braids!!! Aside from that she was very sweet and welcoming I have ADHD and sometimes it can be very difficult to simply just sit she consistently made sure I was comfortable! It was overall a very calming and relaxing experience!!

I revisit Gigi-Gigi’s Hair Salon Wed. Apr.24, I love the new salon it’s clean & also a clean bathroom. My braids look fabulous & the prices are still reasonable but they went up due now paying rent. I’ll be back again about 2 months.Congrats on the new shop Gigi-Gigi.

I think I found my local spot for my daughter to get her hair braided. I dont get my daughters hair professionally braided very often, but when I do, I now have a place not too far from my house. I so appreciate Gigi being able to accommodate us very last minute on the Labor Day Holiday. She gave us a same day appointment. Her work was great, and she didnt braid my daughters hair too tight. We love the finished product. I took one star off because they didnt have enough bead options so I ended up heading her hair myself, and also because we had an appointment for 3, then we were contacted and asked to come at 2 (I got the message late so my daughter and my sister actually didnt get there till around 215ish), however she wasnt available till about 3. Neither one of these issues are deal breakers but if I had known about the lack of beads we would have brought our own and would have been nice to save 45 minutes if they werent going to start until 3 anyways. I think her prices are competitive and on par for the braiding industry now. I encourage folks to definitely check her out!
